Artist Statement

Treasures, whether a scrap of found paper or a can of gloppy tar, act as both muse and medium for my art-making. They inspire and inform, allowing me to experiment in numerous ways. I add, observe, subtract, and assess again and again. It’s all a visual puzzle, one that can feel effortless or extremely challenging. Time passes, the process continues, and with no foretelling when, the treasures find their way into a coherent whole and a completed piece emerges.
